This Sashiko Jacket from Pure Blue Japan may look like a standard Type 2 Denim Jacket from afar, but as you get closer it reveals its intricate and complex texture that gives it a 3D-like appearance. For an indigo-dyed Sashiko jacket, this one tops them all with its endless possibilities for fade potential. This Double Indigo (Indigo x Indigo) version features an indigo-dyed base with indigo Sashiko weaves for a Sashiko'd out version of a standard Type 2 Denim Jacket. These jackets will fade beautifully with time and wear, lightening in high wear areas to reveal some contrasting appearance.
Note: PBJ sizes come in numerical sizes only. Accordingly, please check the Size Chart to ensure you get the correct size. As reference, Richard (the main model in our photos) generally wears size M in American brands, and would wear size 4 in most PBJ tees, shirts, and jackets. These jackets are one-washed, so minimal shrinkage expected. However, we still recommend machine wash and hang-dry only.
Model: 6'0" and 175 lbs (currently closer to 170 lbs) wearing size 4 for a comfortable fit, neither too slim nor too relaxed. The size 4 will allow the model to layer some slightly heavier pieces underneath. Model can also fit into a size 3, but the jacket is very slim and looks too small on him.
